Dismounted reconnaissance-Sets, Kits, and Outfits (DR-SKO)

Murtech has supported the Joint Program Manager-Contamination Avoidance (JPM-CA) Dismounted Reconnaissance-Sets, Kits, and Outfits (DR-SKO; formerly JNBCRS-2) program of record since September 1998.  Over the course of the DR-SKO program, Murtech has provided support through expertise in environmental, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering during strategic planning, program management, logistics and supply chain management, systems engineering design, testing and evaluation, design and manufacture of prototypes, acquisition planning, field automated biological sampling systems, decontamination test facility set up, and full life cycle logistics support activities. Additionally, Murtech has conducted extensive research and analysis to support equipment selection for the DR-SKO program, including devices, tools, supplies, and materials needed by initial on-scene responders to sustain reconnaissance efforts including:

  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Detection Instruments
  • Medical Supplies and Equipment
  • Search and Rescue Equipment
  • Decontamination Equipment
  • Communications Equipment
  • Logistics and Sustainment Equipment

As the DR-SKO program moves into production, Murtech continues to provide subject matter expertise for the various sensors, protective equipment, sampling, and support equipment to the systems engineering team, as well as logistics engineering planning and support, Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health guidance, and material acquisition support.
